This site is dedicated to the memory of Joan Mary Hooper.

Joan was born on 22nd October 1932 and passed gently away on 3rd January 2012. On that day a light went out in the world and a new star - an Angel-Star, was born. Its light will live forever and will help us all, her loving family and friends, to one day find her and join her in heaven. Until that day we can remember Joan with such happiness, because she truly loved and was loved by everyone who met her. To her family she was the hub, the centre of everything good, kind and loving, and to her friends she was the sweetest person, who delighted in seeing you smile. My dearest angel, you will always be here in my heart, and I only now look forward to seeing you again. Your sweet little face, your soft little hands, will always be close to me, and as I look for you everywhere I know you are here with me.

. . . and now it is four years and three months since I last held your little hand. And every day I cry for you still, with my heart completely broken. How can it be so unfair that you, so full of life and love for everyone, could go so early? I know you said " I WISH I could get better!" just a few weeks before you went, but God wanted you in Heaven with the other Angels. But I miss you so, and I love you so.
